PEER Bearing Company announces opening of new tapered bearing manufacturing plant
Waukegan IL - PEER Bearing Company announces the opening of its new tapered
bearing manufacturing plant in Thailand with abbreviation TPB (Thailand PEER Bearing). The “Official” opening date will be December 5, 2007 at 8:08am. This is an exciting and necessary
addendum to an already thriving Tapered plant in Changshan Province, China.
The following companies are opposing RBC’s applications to register the following SERIES terms as trademarks of RBC: 400 SERIES, 500 SERIES, 600 SERIES, 1600 SERIES, 3000 SERIES, 5000 SERIES, 6900 SERIES, 7500 SERIES, and 7600 SERIES. In related court documents and correspondence, RBC is also claiming to have exclusive rights in the basic part numbers, e.g., 1621, 1641, etc., that fall within many of these SERIES terms.
SKF USA, Schaeffler KG (INA), the Kaydon Corp., Timken Bearing Company and NTN as well as Peer Bearing Company are opposing some or all of these applications for registration. The free use of these series terms and related part numbers to identify or describe bearings according to size and other characteristics is important to all of us in the bearing industry. If RBC and its affiliates obtain registrations for these terms they will obtain a presumptive exclusive right under the law to use the terms in connection with the bearings listed in their registrations.
These series terms reflect standard, bearing industry nomenclature that is important to and is used either in an identical or highly similar manner by many of us in the bearing industry. Any company using this standard, bearing industry nomenclature on product sold in the United States may be impacted by the outcome of these proceedings. All manufacturers around the world are welcome to assist the opposers in preventing RBC and its affiliates from obtaining registrations of these terms.

PEER's new NPZ factory in Wuxi is simply beautiful. The facility for small-bore bearings (R2 - 6202) opened in June 2004.

PEER’s radial bearing manufacturing facility just passed the TS-16949 audit by TUV Reinland.
TS-16949 is a worldwide automotive standard and less than 5% of QS-9000 certified companies all over the world are certified by this standard.
This will be a great advantage when selling PEER’s radial and mounted unit bearings.
